      Brand & Designer

      The Hakuin Publishing Company was founded in 2009. As a result of collaboration between artists from Hamburg, London, and Zurich. The company was founded in order to independently publish the collective's and it's friends self-determined own ideas in limited editions.

      Alex Schauwecker, the author and illustrator of the book, was born in Kyoto, Japan. He spent the first 7 years of his life in Japan and then moved to Switzerland. Today, he works as a graphic designer and artist in Berlin and Zurich. Alex Schauwecker as the "Walbub" in the story is constantly on the road with his skateboard.
